IBC Show returns to Amsterdam this September, celebrating a century of television and a bold leap into the next era

As the global media and entertainment (M&E) industry prepares to celebrate 100 years of television, the IBC Show is looking firmly ahead. Set to run from September 12–15 at the RAI Amsterdam, IBC2025 promises to be a future-facing event, with the launch of an all-new innovation showcase: Future Tech.

Designed as a vibrant hub for cutting-edge technologies, Future Tech will take over Hall 14, spotlighting transformative innovations and collaborative R&D from across the globe. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between experimental technology and real-world applications, drawing attention to breakthroughs in AI-powered personalization, cloud-native production workflows, content provenance, immersive storytelling, private 5G networks, and more.

“Shaping the future of media and entertainment worldwide is more than our theme – it’s our mission,” said Michael Crimp, CEO of IBC. “IBC2025 is where the brightest minds from the international M&E community explore the ideas and technologies reshaping our industry. Future Tech brings that innovation into focus – from AI-powered personalization and cloud-native workflows to content provenance and private 5G networks, visitors can see the future being defined and built in real time.”

A Truly Global Convergence

With attendees expected from over 170 countries, IBC2025 continues to be one of the industry’s most diverse and collaborative events. From tech giants to startups, content creators to broadcast engineers, this year’s show promises a rich blend of networking, demos, and cross-sector insight.

Future Tech aims to accelerate the adoption of transformative tools and foster partnerships across the evolving media value chain. It’s not just about showcasing what’s new—it’s about shaping what’s next.

Looking Back While Moving Forward

In addition to the forward-looking initiatives, IBC2025 will mark a significant milestone: 100 years of television. The centenary celebration will offer a reflective lens on how far the industry has come—setting the stage for meaningful discussions on where it’s heading.
